EMDR Therapy
What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a type of therapy distinct from typical talk therapy in that clients access painful memories and then undergo bilateral stimulation in the form of eye movements or tactile means. Clients gain a fresh, cohesive insight into their traumatic memories through this process, resulting in heathier patterns of thinking and behaving. They find that their nervous systems start healing, and the trauma they experienced is significantly less impactful.
